OUR STORY
ALWAYS CREATIVE LOVES ANIMALS
So you want to know more about me. My name is Sophie Kate Nathaniel and I have been a photographer since 2009. I have been creative since a young age, always drawing and painting. My art became my passion, and creating art for others is what I enjoyed the most. Seeing a persons reaction to a piece of art you have created is a wonderful feeling, and I still get that feeling today, when I show my photos to my clients. I am always improving and adapting, and I am always looking for that perfect moment to capture.
I love my animals, I currently have 4! Two dogs, Cooper the Labrador and Murphy the Border Collie, a gorgeous cat named Sissy and a horse named Ace.
I am also married to the most supportive husband, Christopher Nathaniel, who has given so much of his time assisting me with my business. I am very grateful to have him!
LIVING MY LIFE ON THE EDGE
I am a bit of a dare devil, always wanting a new adventure. We love our hiking with the dogs, and I love competing on my horse – especially show jumping!
MY OWNCREATIVE JOURNEY
My experience in photography is extensive, and spans back many years, back to my early teens. I have always been creative, studying art and photography at both GCSE and A-Level. I began working for the Ben Bone Memorial Fund charity while I was in high school, taking their event photos, and caught the bug for capturing the perfect moment. I was their photographer for over 10 years, until I went to University. I studied at Norwich University of the Arts and came away with a BA Honours degree. Following this I worked at a portrait studio for some time, learning how to create perfect family portrait sessions, as well as a school photography company, specialising in Photoshop. But I realised that I needed more creative freedom to show my individuality, so I started to do more with my own business – Sophie Kate Photography.
LOVING EVERY PHOTOSHOOT I DO
I enjoy every wedding, portrait session, equine shoot, that I do. I pour my heart and soul into each photo and I really hope that this shines through on my images.
